I thought that it might be useful for you to know that the City of London’s Department of the Built Environment are currently running three public consultations that may be of interest. This is a great way for you to engage and ensure you are heard.
There will also be a number of face to face workshops and meetings related to these, in the coming weeks and months, so watch this space.
- Transport Strategy – draft vision, aims and outcomes: The proposed vision, aims and outcomes summarise aspirations for transport and streets in the Square Mile over the next 25-years. Please see www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/transportstrategy for more details.
- Road Danger Reduction and Active Travel 5-year Plan: A short-term plan for making our streets safer and encouraging people to walk and cycle. Please see www.cityoflondon.hov.uk/rdrconsultation for more details.
- Eastern Cluster Area Strategy: Proposals to improve the quality of the environment in the Eastern Cluster Area by enhancing streets and public spaces. Please see www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/easternclusterarea for more details.
All the above consultations will be open until Sunday 5 August.
How you can get involved?
Please complete the consultation surveys before Sunday 5 August.
Please also promote the consultations to your colleagues and relevant networks. If you would like content for emails, newsletters, etc then please contact the Strategic Transportation team: strategic.transportation@cityoflondon.gov.uk. They can also provide flyers and leaflets, or contact me and I can assist.
Everyone at the City Corporation is keen for these important pieces of work to be informed by as many voices as possible. Your help in promoting our engagement activities is greatly appreciated.
